With "LUMIX LINK", images can be uploaded and shared on social network services even where there's no wireless access points.
The DMC-SZ5 automatically archives photos and videos for you during battery charge by transferring the data to a registered computer or other compliant Panasonic AV devices via the wireless access point at home. With the Cloud Sync. Service of the Panasonic's exclusive cloud service "LUMIX CLUB", photos and videos can be synchronized among the compliant electronic devices you are using or transferred to the social network services as you like.
With the Panasonic DLNS-compliant VIERA TV, you can playback and share images on a big screen via Wi-Fi. Theres no need to insert SD Memory Card or connect USB Connection Cable anymore.
The 14.1-megapixel DMC-SZ5 features powerful 10x optical zoom LEICA DC lens from 25mm ultra wide-angle (35mm camera equivalent: 25-250mm). The lens system makes the units overall length short to fit in the slim body despite its versatile zoom range from ultra wide to telephoto. The 10x optical zoom increases its power to 20x equivalent with the Intelligent Zoom function. This is an extensive zoom function using digital zoom with minimum deterioration of image quality thanks to the Intelligent Resolution technology.
The DMC-SZ5 can record HD (1280 x 720) videos in MP4 format. This format has high compatibility with computers so you can upload and share your videos without file conversion. A separate button lets you instantly start recording video without the need of extra settings. The 10x optical zoom is available in video recording.
