Unique Contrast Sync and Shutter Sync Function

  • The PT RW620 is among the world’s first to feature Contrast Sync and Shutter Sync functions (Patent Pending) for multi-screen and mapping applications. Contrast Sync allows the projectors’ digitally modulated contrast function to be synchronized over the network for consistent picture quality across screens, while Shutter Sync incorporates a master/slave principle to synchronize shutter on/off timing between all networked projectors. Contrast Sync

  • Image luminance of all projectors is averaged for unified Dynamic Contrast, rather than each unit setting Dynamic Contrast separately. Step noise is eliminated in edge-blended areas.

Shutter Sync

  • If shutter functions are not linked, shutter ON/OFF timing varies. When shutter functions of slave projectors are linked to a master, shutter ON/OFF timing is uniform*.

Bright, high-quality images

The MZ770 series combines outstanding Solid Shine laser with 3LCD technology to produce vivid, crisp images. The projectors offer high brightness of 8,000lm, high WUXGA resolution (MZ770) and a high contrast ratio (3,000 000:1), while the Detail Clarity Processor 4 image processing circuit optimizes images, making them clearer and sharper.

Compact and lightweight

With a small footprint and weighing the MZ770 projectors are compact and lightweight: a practical choice for use in teaching and meeting rooms. What’s more, the projectors are designed with ultra-low noise operation of 28dB in Eco mode – quieter than the sound of writing with a pencil ­– so the audience can focus on the presenter with no distractions.

Flexible installation

Thanks to the MZ770 series’ flexible installation options, the projectors can be used in classrooms and meeting rooms of almost any size. The lenses are interchangeable (compatible with PT-EZ770 series lenses) so the same projector can be used in smaller or larger rooms.

Meanwhile, with the Powered Lens Shift function there’s no need for a ladder when adjusting the lens shift and zoom/focus. Geometric adjustment lets you project onto curved or specially shaped screens and the 360 Degrees Free settings mean the projector can be installed and project at whatever angle you choose.

Designed for collaboration

The optional wireless ET-WM300 module adds a wide range of collaboration technologies which allow you to project wirelessly from multiple devices, present without a PC, and network and stream content securely. These functions make the MZ770 perfect for student presentations, interactive lectures, training, brainstorming and other collaborative meetings.

Long-lasting and low maintenance

Get up to 20,000 hours of brilliant, high-quality images from the long-lasting laser light source and low-maintenance design. The long-lasting Eco Filter can be used for up to 20,000 hours too, to help save time and avoid the hassle of replacing the filter (especially useful for ceiling mounted projectors). The dust resistant cabinet also helps to reduce maintenance and extend the life of the projector.

Adjustable images

The Colour Adjustment function lets you correct slight variations in the colour of individual screens, so screens used near each other match. The MZ770 series also features an ambient light sensor which automatically detects the light levels in the room and adjusts the brightness of the image to make it clearly visible in dark or bright rooms.

Flexible inputs and outputs

MZ770 projectors are DIGITAL LINK-ready, which means they can be connected to a DIGITAL LINK switcher using a single cable which reaches up to 150m, making installation simple and flexible. The projectors can also be connected directly to a wide range of different inputs and outputs.

Memory Viewer

With the MZ770 series you don’t need a computer to present – just plug in a USB and start projecting straight away using the Plug and Share application.

Lamp Modulation Drive System

With the advanced Lamp Modulation technology, the Projector is able to control the Lamp intensity for each of the red, green, blue, and white segments of the colour wheel separately. Because the actual light output is controlled in relation to each colour segment, light usage is optimised and colour balance is obtained without lowering the brightness. This results in bright vivid images with increased colour fidelity. 

Detail Clarity Process 3 Gives Natural Clarity To Even The Finest Details

Panasonic's Original Dual Lamp System

This system eliminates the interruption if a Lamp should fail (in Dual-Lamp operation mode). The Lamp Relay mode also operates the Lamps alternately to enable 24/7 projection.*

If the Projector is to be operated continuously 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, use the Dual-Lamp optical system’s alternating Lamp operation (lamp changer) function. The Projector cannot be operated continuously 24 hours a day / 7 days a week in Dual-Lamp mode. Allow a minimum of two hours per week of non-operation time per Lamp if using the Dual-Lamp mode. 

Long Lamp Life Contributes To Low TCO

The PT-DZ870EK Series Projectors lower the total cost of ownership because they have a Lamp replacement cycle of up to 4,000 hours.*

With the LAMP POWER set to ECO mode in Dual Lamp operation. The usage environment affects the Lamp replacement cycle. 

Filter Less Dust Resistant Optical Engine

A Heat Pipe Cooling System Maintains Stable Operation up to 45°C

A new optical cooling system featuring a heat pipe block suppresses temperature rises inside the Projector and allows stable operation up to an ambient temperature of 45°C (113°F).* The use of this heat pipe cooling system also achieves quiet operation, enabling viewers to concentrate on the presentation or on quiet movie scenes.

The operating temperature range is 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F) when used in locations from 1,400 m to 2,700 m (4,953 ft to 8,858 ft) above sea level. If the ambient temperature exceeds 35°C (95°F), the light output may be reduced to protect the Projector.

Dust Resistant Optical Block

The optical block, the heart of the Projector, is hermetically sealed to resist the effects of dust and other particles in the air, which makes it possible to remove the Air Filters for optics. It also contributes to the low TCO. 

Easy Lamp Replacement

For easier maintenance, you can replace the Lamp from the rear. This makes it easy to replace a Lamp unit while the Projector is still in the mounting bracket or dual stacked.

The Lamp Filter must be replaced at the same time as the Lamp.  

DIGITAL LINK Transmits Digital Signals up to 100m (320ft) With A Single Cable

DIGITAL LINK - The Single Cable Solution

Equipped with a DIGITAL LINK terminal, the PT-DZ870EK Series allows transmission of HDMI, uncompressed HD digital video and control signals (Ethernet, RS-232C) for up to 100 metres (328 feet) through a single CAT5e (STP) cable or higher. This simplifies cabling and system upgrades, making it ideal for ceiling mounted and other permanent installations.

Note: Audio signals cannot be transmitted because the PT-DZ870EK Series has no speaker or audio output terminal. 

Optional ET-YFB100G Digital Interface Box for Easy Setup

By combining the optional ET-YFB100G Digital Interface Box, with its HDMI and other input terminals, uncompressed HD digital video and control signals can be transmitted up to 100 m (328 feet) over a single CAT5e (STP) cable or higher. It allows Projector connection with only one cable, making it ideal for ceiling mounted and other permanent installations.

Also, because control signals can be simultaneously transmitted, the ET-YFB100G input signal can easily be switched with the wireless Remote Control that is included with the Projector. The Projector can be controlled by either serial or LAN communication.

The PT-DZ870EK Series Projector is compatible with the Art-Net protocol for lighting management.

Art-Net compatibility lets you connect the Projector to the lighting console, and operate functions such as shutter on/off, input change, power on/off, etc., together with the light control.

Art-Net is a protocol for transmitting the lighting control protocol DMX512 over the Ethernet. 

Multi-Screen Support System Seamlessly Connects Multiple Screens

The edges of adjacent screens can be blended and their luminance controlled.

The PT-DZ870EK Series Projectors can project large, multi-screen images without any additional equipment. Up to 100 units (10 x 10) can be edge-blended at a time. 

Multi-Unit Brightness Control

Optional Upgrade Kit (ET-UK20) Featuring Geometry Manager Pro (PT-DZ870EK)

The new Geometry Manager Pro software included in the optional upgrade kit ET-UK20 supports Colour Matching, Edge Blending, Uniformity Correction, and other useful functions for Multi-Projector set ups (max. 32 units).

Flexible Installation

Portrait Mode Capability (optional)

Portrait projection is possible by mounting the optional

ET-LAD120P or ET-LAD120PW Lamp units, updating the Projector's firmware to MAIN Ver. 2.00 or later, and installing the Projector with its terminal side surface facing downward. Portrait mode adds more solutions for projection mapping, staging, and other needs.

Horizontal rotation and vertical rotation are both limited to 15 degrees. Also, the Lamp replacement cycle is 1,000 hours with the LAMP POWER set to NORMAL mode in Dual Lamp operation, and is affected by the usage environment.

To check the firmware version, press the button on the Remote Control. [MAIN VERSION] of the firmware can be checked on the [STATUS] menu screen.

The ET-LAD120P and ET-LAD120PW cannot be used when the Projector is in landscape orientation.

Multiple Terminals With HD-SDL Compatibility

The PT-DZ870EK Series has an array of terminals, including 3D sync, DVI-D and HDMI terminals.
The PT-DZ870EK also features an SDI (SD-, HD-, and 3G-SDI) input terminal. 

Easy Remote Monitoring And Control Over a LAN

Web browser on a Computer connected through a wired LAN system lets you remotely operate Projectors and check their status. An email messaging function can also notify you when a Lamp needs replacement, and indicate the overall Projector status.

In addition, Multi Projector Monitoring and Control Software is available for monitoring and controlling multiple Panasonic Projectors from a single PC.

The wired LAN terminal is compatible with PJLink™ (class1), an open protocol that is used by many manufacturers, to enable integrated control of systems that contain different brands of Projectors. 

A Wide Selection Of Optional Lenses

NOTES ON USE 1. Do not install the projector in locations that are subject to excessive water, humidity, steam, or oily smoke. Doing so may result in fire, malfunction, or electric shock.
2. The projector uses a high-voltage mercury lamp that contains high internal pressure. This lamp may break, emitting a loud sound, or fail to illuminate, due to impact or extended use.
3. The projector uses a high-wattage lamp that becomes very hot during operation. Please observe the following precautions:
• Never place objects on top of the projector while it is in operation.
• Make sure there is an unobstructed space of 500 mm (19-11/16 in) or more around the projector's exhaust openings.
• Do not stack projector units directly on top of one another for the purpose of multiple (stacked) projection. When stacking projector units, be sure to provide the amount of space indicated between them. These space requirements also apply to installation where only one projector unit is operating at one time and the other unit is used as a backup.
• If the projector is placed in a box or enclosure, the temperature of the air surrounding the projector must be between 0 °C (32 °F) and 40 °C (104 °F). Also, make sure the projector's intake and exhaust openings are not blocked. Take particular care to ensure that hot air from the exhaust openings is not sucked into the intake.
4. If the projector is to be operated continuously 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, use the multi-lamp optical system's alternating lamp operation function (Lamp Relay mode). The projector can be operated continuously 24 hours a day / 7 days a week in dual-lamp operation mode. Allow a minimum of two hours per week of non-operation time per lamp if using the dual-lamp operation mode.
5. The lamp replacement cycle duration becomes shorter if the projector is operated repeatedly for short periods.
• The length of time that it takes for the lamp to break or fail to illuminate varies greatly depending on individual lamp characteristics and usage conditions.
• The brightness of the lamp will gradually decrease with use.
• The usage environment affects the lamp replacement cycle.
6. Because the ET-DLE055/DLE030 is a fixed short-throw lens, the lens shift function cannot be used with it.
7. Due to natural characteristics of lamps, screen brightness may vary (flicker). This is not an indication of faulty lamp performance.

The LED/Laser-Combined Light Source Enables Approx. 20,000 Hours of Continuous Operation
 
This new light source requires no maintenance for approximately 20,000 hours.1 In many cases, this means no maintenance until your next refresh cycle. Naturally, there are no lamp burnout problems during use, so reliability is further increased. There is also no filter to clean due to carefully engineered sealed optics.

As a consequence, running cost is dramatically lowered because of the savings on lamp costs, maintenance labor and hassle of stocking lamps.
 
24/7 Operation
 
Ordinary lamps are not well suited to continuous operation. Because the PT-RZ370 does not use a lamp, has an efficient cooling system and uses DLP chip that has a long life, they are capable of 24/7 operation.
 
Bright, Beautiful Picture Quality for a Long Period of Time

The PT-RZ370 features 3,500 lumens of brightness. The rate of brightness deterioration in the LED/Laser-combined light source is extremely slow compared to lamp-based projectors.

The SOLID SHINE drive uses a built-in sensor to constantly detect the light intensity of the light source and correct corresponding changes in white balance. This all helps to maintain excellent picture quality for a long period of time.


Contrast is outstanding too, at 10,000:1, and images are reproduced with a wide dynamic range. The PT-RZ370 also features a Full-HD (1,920 x 1,080) DLP chip, allowing highly detailed Full-HD images without resizing.
 
 
Superior Colour Reproduction
 
The LED/Laser-combined light source has a higher level of color purity than an ordinary lamp, allowing it to achieve color reproduction with wider color space. Colours are more vibrant than those of conventional projectors.
 
Rec. 709 Mode for HDTV Projection
 
Optimal colour reproduction can be achieved by selecting this mode, compliant with ITU-R Recommendation BT.709, when images from an HDTV source are projected.
 
30x Drive Switching Prevents Colour Breaking
 
In 1-chip DLP system projectors with conventional lamp, a colour wheel is used for time-division multiplexing in a method where the human eye combines the result to achieve a full-colour palette. In the PT-RZ370, this is done by on/off switching of the LED/Laser-combined light source. A unique Panasonic power supply circuit provides time-division multiplexing with ultrafast 30x drive.2 The resulting, high-definition images exhibit virtually no colour breaking.3
 
Heat Pipe Cooling System Maintains Stable Operation up to 45 C
 
Laser cooling is performed by releasing the heat to cooling fins, then cooling with a heat pipe cooling system. This suppresses temperature rises inside the projector and allows stable operation up to an ambient temperature of 45 C.4 The use of this heat-pipe cooling system also achieves quiet operation of 29 dB,5 enabling viewers to concentrate on the presentation or on quiet movie scenes.

Maintenance-Free

The new LED/Laser-combined light source in the SOLID SHINE Series projectors provides approximately 20,000 hours of operation with no lamp or filter replacement needed. This dramatically lowers maintenance costs and labor.

A highly durable system has been achieved with an originally designed, efficient cooling system for the new light source, and a dust-proof structure. You get stable operation and solid reliability for a long period of time.

DIGITAL LINK - The Single Cable Solution
 
Equipped with a DIGITAL LINK terminal, the PT-RZ370 allows transmission of HDMI, uncompressed HD digital video, audio and control signals (Ethernet, RS-232C) for up to 100 metres through a single CAT5e (STP) cable or higher. This simplifies cabling and system upgrades, making it ideal for ceiling-mounted and other permanent installations
 
Versatile First-Time and Replacement Installations

The projectors can be rotated vertically. This means you can install one at any up-and-down angle you want, to accommodate different installation conditions.
 
Abundant Connection Terminals, Including HDMI
 
Interfaces include HDMI and DVI-I inputs. The serial terminal (RS-232C) has an Emulate function that lets you continue using existing control systems when replacing previous Panasonic models. It is also possible to output audio during STANDBY MODE. This is convenient when connecting an external audio system through the projector. A closed caption decoder is built in
 
 
Crestron RoomView and AMX Device Discovery
 
The LAN terminal allows a computer connected to the network to use Crestron RoomView application software to manage and control system devices. Besides, The AMX Device Discovery technology is built in the PT-RZ370.
 
Easy Remote Monitoring and Control over a LAN
 
Web browser on a computer connected through a wired LAN system lets you remotely operate projectors and check their status. An e-mail messaging function can also notify you the overall projector status.

In addition, Multi Projector Monitoring and Control Software is available for monitoring and controlling multiple Panasonic projectors from a single PC.

The wired LAN terminal is compatible with PJLink (class1), an open protocol that is used by many manufacturers, to enable integrated control of systems that contain different brands of projectors.
 
DICOM Simulation Mode
 
This imaging mode is similar to DICOM part 14, which is a medical imaging standard. It reproduces X-ray images with remarkable clarity.
