This Sapphire 5-slot CF (Compact Flash) drive is a unique and flexible platform for creating your own solid state drive (SSD) using commercially available high-speed CF card. The five CF cards can be configured to appear as five independent drives. They can set up as a high performance, fault tolerant RAID group or to form a large capacity solid state drive. There are choice of models with connection to high-speed 6G eSATA or the ubiquitous USB 3.0 / eSATA connection. When connecting via eSATA,When connecting via eSATA, the Sapphire CF drive can be used as a bootable device.It is the ideal solution for improving storage performance, lowering the power consumption and improving the overall system reliability for application environments with frequent shocks and vibrations.

• Individual drive setting requires connecting to Port Multiplier compatible controller or USB port

This Pocket READ ONLY UDD25 is a high performance READ only device that blocks any WRITE commands. Comes with a media slot to accommodate most standard 2.5" HDD or SSD, this device can also read 1.8" HDD/SSD and other flash media such as M2 card, mSATA SSD, CFast, CF or slim SATA SSD by using various Addonics optional2.5" flash adapters. It is a great tool for sharing drives or flash media containing important data among different users or for forensic application. This READER essentially treats any hard drive or SSD as a READ only media, similar to the CD or DVD disc.The Pocket READ ONLY UDD25 is equipped with USB 3.0 interface for easy connection to many Notebook, Desktop, Sever or computing equipment.

The storage media can be inserted or removed from the READER like a floppy disc without restarting the system. practically any storage media that is the same size as the 2.5" hard drive and with the same SATA connector can be accessed by this Pocket READ ONLY UDD25. Designed to be fully portable, the Pocket READ ONLY UDD25 is powered directly from a computer via the ubiquitous USB 3.0 / 2.0 port.

• READ only device
• Protect drive against virus contamination or data tempering
• WRITE disabled at hardware level. No software hacking to circumvent the WRITE PROTECT function

• Drive appears to OS as READ only device. Options to format, delete and other commands that alter the content, partition table or MBR of the drive are all disabled by the OS (see screen shots from Windows OS below)
