- 12.1MP, 24x Optical Zoom, 3.0"TFT Screen LCD Display, Optical Image Stabilizer, WiFi, 4K Video / 4K Photo

LUMIX Digital Camera DMC-FZ300

Overview

High Image Quality

25-600mm Zoom with Full-Range F2.8

The 25-600mm LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens boasts full-range F2.8. Regardless of how distant your subject is, or how fast it is moving, this lens won’t let it get away. And the constant F2.8 capability enhances low light shooting throughout the entire zoom range.

Also, Panasonic’s black box technology Nano Surface Coating boasts extremely low reflectance ratio and it is applied to the LUMIX FZ300 for exceptional optical performance with stunning clarity by minimising flaring and ghosting.

35mm camera equivalent: 25-600mm

High Image Quality Even in Low Light Conditions

The 12.1-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS Sensor in combination with the Venus Engine provides both: high quality image capture and high speed signal processing.
The superior noise reduction system enables crisp images even in low light conditions up to ISO 6400.
The Venus Engine also excels in diffraction compensation to make images crisp and clear even when shooting with a small aperture.

5-axis Correction /Tilt Correction

5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S.+ (Optical Image Stabiliser Plus)* gives you blur-less one-handed video shooting. It detects and compensates for the camera's 5 types of movement – horizontal, vertical, axis of rotation, vertical rotation and horizontal rotation. The Level Shot Function detects the image's horizontal line and maintains it even if the camera is tilted. It takes stable video even in high-angle, blind recording.

5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S. works in video recording except for 4K video recording.

4K Video and 4K Photo — Capture the Perfect Moment

Special moments you want to remember can occur at any time and should be captured in the best resolution possible. Now Panasonic's 4K technology is available for everyone. With the introduction of the new LUMIX FZ300, you will be able to record video in 4K (up to QFHD: 3840 x 2160 pixels, 25 fps, 100Mbit/s).

Furthermore, with the 4K Photo feature, you can extract the perfect photo out of a 4K video (30 frames / photos per second) sequence easily on the camera and save it as an 8-megapixel equivalent still image.

The LUMIX FZ300 is especially useful for both video and photo shooting.

4K Photo Modes — Free Your Creativity

The 4K Photo function can be used in three different modes, all allowing you to capture that perfect moment at a high burst rate of 30 frames / photos per second:

4K Burst

This is a function that you can use more like using photo burst shooting mode. The camera keeps on shooting 8-megapixel equivalent images at ultra high burst rate as long as the shutter button is pressed.

4K Burst S/S (Start/Stop)

This function is the standard 4K Photo function where you are able to record a 4K video to extract any frame / photo as an 8-megapixel equivalent image later. You can relax and wait for the moment to come.

4K Pre-Burst

The specialty of the '4K Pre-Burst' mode is that the camera starts recording a 4K video sequence one second before & after you press the shutter button. This allows you to capture an unpredictable moment which happens much faster than you are able to react.
You can get extra 60 photos to choose the best from.

4K Video — More Details Than Full HD

Whether you are watching movies or editing videos, 4K delivers a far more intense viewing experience than you have seen before. Its native resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels is four times larger than Full HD, resulting in a much higher level of detail. Even if you export your footage filmed in 4K to a Full HD TV, the video files will have even better definition and crisper details than those filmed in Full HD.

When recording videos in 4K, use a card rated as UHS Speed Class 3.

Rugged Design

Splash/Dustproof Rugged Design

To be tough enough to withstand even heavy field use, the LUMIX FZ300 adopts a splash / dustproof rugged design. It comes with sealings onto every joint, dial, and button to pass the stringent test quality standards of our flagship DSLM (Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) cameras. You can trust the LUMIX FZ300 for outdoor photography under harsh weather conditions from marshy jungles to windy deserts.

1,440k-dot, 0.7x Large OLED LVF

The LUMIX FZ300 comes with a high-resolution (1,440k-dot) OLED Live View Finder which allows high visibility thanks to a 10,000:1 contrast and perfect framing even under direct sunlight conditions. High 0.7x magnification (35mm camera equivalent) makes it easy to see image details. Also with all your settings displayed right in front of your eye, your pictures will always come out exactly how you want them to.

3.0-inch Free-angle, Touch Panel Rear

The rear monitor with a high resolution of approximately 1,040k-dot features higher visibility even for sunny outdoor shooting. And, the tilt/swivel capability gives you the freedom to find unusual perspectives while maintaining easy operation and full image control.
Plus, touch control immediately lets you to set focus to the subject by just touching it on the screen and you can even release the shutter.

Everything in the Right Place

Not only does the LUMIX FZ300 feature a sophisticated body and a snug, hand-fitting grip, it also provides an intuitive level of operation. The rear/side dials control the main aperture and shutter speed settings, while easily switching to handle temporary WB and ISO adjustments. Settings can also be assigned to four function buttons.* In addition, the side lever on the left side of lens barrel makes it smoother to zoom when concentrating on the shutter operation with the right hand.

Four buttons on the body and five buttons on the menu.

Expandability for Flexible Usage

To offer more flexible usage, the LUMIX FZ300 can be combined with the DMW-FL580L External Flash, the DMW-MS2 Stereo/Shotgun Microphone, the DMW-LT55 Tele Conversion Lens, DMW-LC55 Close-up Lens and many other accessories. The expansive flexibility of LUMIX FZ300 goes far beyond the limit of conventional bridge camera.

High Speed Auto-Focusing with DFD

Capture even the fastest moving action thanks to Panasonic's Depth From Defocus (DFD) Auto Focus (AF) technology. The LUMIX FZ300 features this brand new technology instantly calculating the distance between the items inside the frame and drives the focus of the lens in one fast, continuous movement. This new system results in AF speeds up to 0.09 seconds* and a burst shooting speed with AFC of 6 frames per second. It also increases the stability of continuous focusing when shooting video.

CIPA standard. When using Live View Finder.

12 fps Burst Shooting

High speed burst shooting can be shot at 12 frames per second in 12.1-megapixel full resolution. Together with the quick start-up of approximately 0.88 second and short release time lag, the LUMIX FZ300 never lets you miss quick shooting opportunities.

Close-up Macro Shooting

Stunning macro shots can be shot with minimum focusing distance of 1cm with the LUMIX FZ300.

Unwire Your Creativity via Wi-Fi®

The connectivity features of LUMIX FZ300 expand the usability of the camera in many ways.

The camera can be controlled by using the 'Panasonic Image App' on your smartphone or tablet device enabling you to view the image, set the focus, release the shutter from a distance or review photographs on the large screen of your tablet. You can even share your images via social media.

Easy Sharing

Share your favourite moments easily by drag-and-drop on social media using your smartphone or tablet.

Geotagging

The LUMIX FZ300 knows exactly where it is by using the GPS log/tag of your smartphone or tablet. By geotagging your images, you will be able to have the information where the picture was taken automatically attached to the image.

RAW Data Development in Camera

The LUMIX FZ300 can shoot images in RAW-format and even develop them inside the camera, to adjust the following settings: Colour Space Setting (sRGB / AdobeRGB), White Balance, Exposure Compensation, Photo Style, Intelligent D-range Control, Contrast, Highlight / Shadow, Saturation, Noise Reduction, Intelligent Resolution, Sharpness.

Creative Panorama

Via a wide variety of filter effects, Creative Control adds special effects to photos and videos. Creative Panorama function allows you to create dynamic panoramic photos just by panning the camera. Either 'Standard (minimum distortion) ' or 'Wide (maximum angle of view) ' can be selectable.

High Speed Video in HD

You can record high-speed videos* at 100 fps in HD quality or 200 fps in VGA quality. You can capture scenes that can't be seen with the naked eye, and play them back in dramatic slow motion.

The recording format is 25p.
