Combining a slim and stylish design with outstanding high-magnification zooming performance, the new Mju 5010 brings innovative photo surfing capabilities to turn your camera into a mobile photo album. Using Olympus' powerful new software solution called [ib] you can retouch and perfect images as well as organise and create your own personal collections and categorise by person, event, location, date or theme with ease. The software cleverly classifies the pictures according to the recording date automatically during upload to your PC and has the capability to recognise up to 16 faces as subjects to classify accordingly.

 

The 1GB built in memory of the Mju 5010 respectively means that your camera is your very own portable photo album ensuring you can capture and share your memories wherever you go. By recording location information for a classified event or by person or location you can also easily find the pictures you want to print, upload to your favourite social media site or share with friends and family wherever you are on your travels.  Combined with HD movie capability (MPEG-4 AVC / H.264),the Mju 5010 sports aone-button movie recording making extended HDTV (1280 x 720 pixels) recording possible. Thanks to the advanced MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 movie compression format, compatible with the SD memory card, recording can be started and stopped at the touch of a button.

The extended zoom capabilities for Mju 5010 are supported by a 14-megapixel 1/2.33-inch CCD that works together with the high-resolution lens to capture brilliant, high-definition images featuring natural, life-like colours with impeccable detail.  Built-in Dual Shakeproof image stabilisation based on high-sensitivity shooting and a CCD-shift image stabilisation mechanism compensates for image blur due to camera shake by adjusting the direction of the CCD, ensuring sharp, clear photos in the most challenging shooting conditions.
